The End of the Cold Spell

Or rather, "the end of what I am sure will be the first of this year's cold spells, but it isn't really all that much warmer".

It started raining yesterday, melting and washing away what was left of the snow. On Saturday's drive the roads had patches of black ice (which was interesting in Célestine; what with her narrow tyres, on the black ice she handles like a dog on linoleum), but we hope they have all cleared this morning.

I mentioned previously that Susan has been
sholvelling snow. On Friday it was my turn

Some more photos from the Téléthon drive on Saturday:

Robert was asking about pics of Charnizay.
He may recognise this

Sunset with a very 1950's theme.
We are expecting the weather for the next few days to be rain with the temperature hovering just above freezing. On Thursday the temperature goes below zero again, but the days are supposed to be clear. This should give us an opportunity to check out the potager and see how much damage the early snow has done.

Thankyou for the photograph of Charnizay, I recognised it immediately and it is peaceful as ever

Peugeot, Citroen and what was hiding behind in the photo, and early Renault maybe. We just added a Peugeot 307 to our stable recently to keep company with the Citroen Xantia.

Leon - A 203 and a 403, with a Renault 4 Sports hidden just our of view (with the Porsche 911 Carerra and the Audi R8)

Robert. I have a feeling that Charnizay will never really change.

One piece of winter equipment that I love ; a snow pusher like this:

I just push the snow to wherever I want instead of lifting ( especially when the snow is heavy), thus no back pain afterwards
